In connection with the harvesting and procurement campaigns of 2024 in the Republic of Belarus, including in the territory of Braslav District, the internal affairs authorities have organized and are conducting targeted work to prevent thefts and ensure the safety of material assets at the facilities of the agro-industrial complex.

To assist the heads of agricultural organizations in maintaining public order, preventing alcohol abuse at workplaces, organizing security services, monitoring the elimination of identified deficiencies, and conducting relevant preventive work, mobile groups are organized daily. The mobile groups monitor the organization of property protection at all storage facilities of material assets, check the storage places for grain, meat and dairy products, pesticides, fuel and lubricants, as well as the technical fortification of these places, the presence of fire safety measures, protection against criminal encroachments, and the provision of security services.

One of the main factors contributing to offenses and possible accidents is alcohol abuse, especially among employees at workplaces.

The facts of theft of material assets entail both criminal and administrative liability, depending on the amount of damage. For petty theft, as well as attempted theft, a fine of two to 30 basic units or community service, or administrative arrest is provided. For criminally punishable acts, liability is provided in the form of community service, a fine, or corrective labor for up to two years, or arrest, or restriction of freedom for up to three years, or imprisonment for the same term.
