Safety is the focus!
It is essential to follow safety rules not only in educational institutions but also at home; ensuring your home is safe requires strict adherence to safety regulations.
A common mistake leading to domestic injuries is careless and inattentive handling of hazardous objects, such as electricity and gas. Accessible electric current is not only a crucial factor for the operation of many modern systems but also a significant risk factor. The power sources in homes are sufficient to cause death from electric shock. Even changing a light bulb without disconnecting the power supply can be dangerous, as contact with a live wire can lead to fatal outcomes.
From June 27, 2022, to July 25, 2022, there were 3 fires in the Braslav district.
The cause of the fire in a residential building that occurred in June 2022 was a violation of fire safety regulations by a person living in the mentioned property (they threw an unextinguished match into a trash bin located in the kitchen, which led to the ignition of the property).
It is important for family members to know and follow fire safety rules and proper behavior with electrical appliances, namely: do not use faulty electrical tools, handle matches and open flames (fireplaces) with caution, ensure the house is equipped with a functioning ventilation system, and learn evacuation methods and fire protection measures in case of a fire.
Adhering to basic rules for safe living in the home guarantees the absence of injuries and property damage.
We remind you of the inadmissibility of leaving children unattended. The obligation of parents to protect the rights and legitimate interests of their children is enshrined in Article 73 of the Family Code of the Republic of Belarus. Parents are the legal representatives of their minor children and act in defense of their rights and legitimate interests. Parents must remember that leaving a child in danger is subject to criminal liability under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
According to part 2 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, the deliberate abandonment of a person in a dangerous state for life or health, who is unable to take measures for self-preservation due to minority, old age, illness, or helplessness, in cases where the offender had the opportunity to assist the victim and was obliged to care for them, is punishable by arrest or restriction of freedom for up to two years with or without a fine.
We also remind you that it is necessary to rest and swim only in specially equipped water bodies. Pay attention to warning and prohibitory signs "Swimming is strictly prohibited." It is categorically forbidden for adults and children to jump into the water from cliffs, bridges, or other elevations. If the swimming area is marked with buoys, never swim beyond them.
It should also be noted that swimming in prohibited areas is subject to administrative liability under Article 24.42 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, which provides for a fine ranging from one to three basic units.
Children under the age of 14 are prohibited from swimming alone without adult supervision and being near water bodies.
We remind you that parents' responsibility for their children is based on the obligation to raise their children, care for their physical and mental health, and ensure their moral development.
