Vaccination Vaccination is the process that helps the body develop immunity to specific diseases.
About Vaccination of the Population Vaccination of the population is one of the primary methods of preventing infectious diseases. It helps protect individuals from dangerous illnesses and contributes to the development of herd immunity. In our country, regular vaccination campaigns are conducted aimed at covering both the adult and pediatric populations. Vaccination is safe and effective, and it is important to carry it out in accordance with the recommendations of medical professionals. For more detailed information about vaccination, as well as schedules and locations for vaccination, please contact local medical institutions.
In order to prevent infectious diseases that can be prevented by immunobiological medicinal products (hereinafter referred to as ILS) and to maintain the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population in the Republic of Belarus, the resolution of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus dated May 17, 2018, No. 42 "On Preventive Vaccinations" (registered in the National Center for Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus on June 12, 2018, No. 8/33221) approved the National Calendar of Preventive Vaccinations and the List of Preventive Vaccinations for Epidemiological Indications.
Starting from January 1, 2025, by the resolution of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus dated July 1, 2024, No. 111, changes have been made to the National Calendar of Preventive Vaccinations, specifically the addition of vaccination against infection caused by the human papillomavirus (girls aged 11), diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough (children aged 6), and pneumococcal infection (children from 2 months old).
In accordance with this resolution, preventive vaccinations are conducted:
- at certain stages of a person's life, regardless of the epidemiological situation, to create specific immunity of the body to the corresponding infectious diseases;
- in state healthcare organizations, as well as in non-state healthcare organizations that have a special permit (license) for the provision of medical activities, issued in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus on licensing;
- taking into account the indications and contraindications for their implementation according to the instructions for medical use attached to the ILS.
Vaccination of the eligible population based on the National Calendar of Preventive Vaccinations and the List of Preventive Vaccinations for Epidemiological Indications is carried out as part of providing medical assistance to citizens and is conducted free of charge (fully funded by the state).

The administration of preventive vaccinations against infectious diseases to groups of children and adults not included in the National Calendar of Preventive Vaccinations and the List of Preventive Vaccinations for Epidemiological Indications is conductedat the expense of citizens' own funds or the employer's funds.
