As of 12.01.2024, the number of fires in the region has increased by 19.5% (from 41 to 49). The number of citizens who died as a result has doubled (from 5 to 10).

Therefore, in order to address the situation with fires and the resulting fatalities, on January 13 and 14, employees of the Braslav District Department for Emergency Situations will conduct a preventive campaign in the area. As part of this campaign, rescuers will visit families raising children and will focus on the condition of heating appliances, as well as the presence and functionality of autonomous fire alarms in citizens' homes.
