On December 3, 2024, from 10 AM to 4 PM, a scheduled technical check of the population alert system will take place in the Vitebsk region. Electric sirens will be activated, and messages will be broadcast on the radio.

This is necessary to ensure the technical operability and reliability of the system in case of emergencies or natural disasters. Residents and guests of the region are asked to understand the ongoing check, maintain calm, and uphold public order.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds the public of the rules of conduct when electric sirens are activated, which indicates the issuance of a warning signal "Attention everyone". Upon hearing this signal, it is necessary to turn on radios and television sets to listen to the emergency message.
