All about fires

Myth #1. Fire helps warm the soil

Such warming is a dubious benefit for the soil. First, it is unlikely to derive much advantage from a quick fire and warm up sufficiently for you to become the "first farmer in the village." Secondly, it causes significant harm to buds and seeds, various insects, ants, worms, and even birds and hares. As a result of such a fiery apocalypse, natural ecosystems become impoverished, and biological diversity decreases. Just imagine the situation: vacation, you wake up in your beloved private home, brew coffee, scroll through the news feed, and look out the window – and there is nothing but blackness and a couple of happy flowers that managed to survive. The romance of the post-apocalypse!

Myth #2 Fire enriches

We do not yet know of anyone who has become wealthy from burning grass. If Bill Gates learned of such a way to earn money, he would surely have dropped out of Harvard a couple of months earlier and moved to Belarus. As for the soil, it is not so rosy either. They say that thanks to ash, one can become the son of mom's friend and grow a harvest to Olympus, pushing Zeus aside. Partially, this is true – ash will indeed enrich the soil… just as ordinary decomposed grass will. Haste makes waste, and in this case, you might even lose your home. Nature has its own laws that should not always be interfered with.

Myth #3. Fire accelerates

This myth can be linked to optical illusions that we love so much on the internet. If you look at a picture for a long time, something will definitely appear, and something will disappear. So, popular rumor says that grass grows faster due to the red disaster. But this is not true: dry grass actually just prevents you from seeing young shoots.

A little more about the harm of fire

We have covered three main myths, but what other damage can burning dry grass cause? Such a dangerous procedure is very difficult to control, so a spring grass fire can turn into several more unpleasant surprises: a fire in barns, your beloved home, peat, or even the neighboring forest. Such manipulations with nature can also harm humans: smoke from grass fires is very harmful to human respiratory pathways.

For such antics with nature, Greenpeace is unlikely to come to your home and say "thank you." And for rescuers, extinguishing peat is a real problem. And, if you follow, as Ostap Bender at least to the administrative code, you can find out that the losses from the burned forest can cost you up to 50 basic units. And if the Ministry of Natural Resources counts a particularly large amount for the fire in the forest caused by your match, then the Criminal Code in Article 276 for the destruction or damage of the forest provides for up to two years of imprisonment. Therefore, if you refuse the bad spring tradition, not only insects, birds, and animals will be grateful to you, but also your wallet.

How then to tidy up the area?

Tidying up so that not only you are satisfied, but also rescuers, neighbors, and wildlife is quite possible. For this, stock up on just three important attributes: patience, rakes, and knowledge – in such a wonderful symbiosis, cleaning will not turn into a tragedy.

All trash should be gathered in one place. Throughout the time, you need to keep an eye on it with both eyes. For ignition, use only traditional methods. Remember that ignition liquids are not advisable. Stock up on water or a fire extinguisher to safely complete this important procedure. Make sure that the fire is completely extinguished when you are done.

How to fight fire?

Of course, we would like to wish that you never encounter such a situation. But it is better to be fully prepared so as not to be embarrassed in front of your girlfriend or friends. But even here, heroism is not advisable, as each individual case has its own nuances.

Level 1 Fire

This is the moment when slowness must be discarded. Do not think for long, stop and take action. If the fire is small, it can simply be extinguished with water, sand, or a bundle of leafy tree branches. Congratulations, now you can tell your friends this interesting story.

Level up. Level 2 Fire

Again, you need to assess the situation and your equipment. If it so happens that you are coming from a party ready in reliable, thick clothing and shoes with a sturdy, high sole, then you have every chance of coming out victorious.

To make it more effective, you need a team of reliable comrades. Like real X-Men, act together. The task is this: first, you need to break the ring of fire. Extinguish the fire so that the wind carries the flames and heat in the opposite direction.

You need to behave firmly and decisively with the "enemy" – the flames should be beaten down with a large and heavy cloth (possibly, in extreme cases, your favorite spring jacket may be needed, but not guaranteed. Synthetic padding burns excellently). Behind your sturdy shoulders, there must be a partner on guard, dealing with the process of final victory over the enemy.

Diablo III. Level 3 Fire

The situation is dire. It seems that this type could well have inspired Christopher Nolan when writing the script for "Interstellar." If the word "fire" is looming instead of "ignition," it is better to call rescuers immediately at number 112 and never risk your life.

Epilogue

We hope we have convinced you that fire is a serious problem not only for rescuers but also for the ecosystem. There are much safer ways to tidy up your area without causing alarm to your neighbors and rescuers.

Be attentive, show care for nature not only on social media but also in practice! Share our life hack. And most importantly – tell your grandmother in the village about all this (retelling in your own words is also an option).
