The prosecutor of the Braslaŭ district filed a petition with the court to limit the legal capacity of a local resident regarding the execution of transactions (except for minor household transactions), as well as the receipt of wages and other income and the disposal of them without the consent of a guardian.

The court hearing was conducted in an open field session at the premises of the Slobodkovsky District Executive Committee, to which individuals abusing alcoholic beverages were invited.

According to the case materials, the man systematically abused alcoholic beverages, spending a significant portion of his wages on their purchase, and did not participate in paying utility bills or purchasing food. Over the course of a year, he was repeatedly held administratively liable for offenses committed while under the influence of alcohol.

During the court session, K. admitted that he abused alcoholic beverages, thereby putting his family in a difficult financial situation.

In accordance with Article 30 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Belarus, a citizen who, due to the abuse of alcoholic beverages, narcotic drugs, or psychotropic substances, puts his family in a difficult financial situation may be limited in legal capacity by the court in the manner established by civil procedural legislation. Guardianship is established over him. Such a citizen has the right to independently perform minor household transactions. He may only perform other transactions, as well as receive wages, pensions, and other income and dispose of them with the consent of the guardian.

After hearing the legally interested parties in the outcome of the case, questioning witnesses, examining written evidence in the case, and hearing the opinion of the representative of the guardianship and custody authorities, as well as the prosecutor's opinion, the court concluded that K. should be recognized as partially incapacitated, prohibiting him from performing transactions without the consent of the guardian, as well as receiving wages, pensions, and other income.

The court's decision was not appealed or contested and has entered into legal force.
