Culture and Mass Media

There are 31 community centers in the region (of them one is a literary society and one is the national culture center).

There are 190 art groups (144 are amateur groups ) uniting 1,400 people.

Six art groups and one amateur company have been awarded the title “People’s”.

The traditional festival “Braslavskie zarnitsy” (Braslav sheet lightning) has celebrated the 40th anniversary of its founding.
 
There is the Braslav Children’s School of Arts and four children’s music schools. The region is proud of its three accordion bans and a folk group composed of school teachers.

The research establishment “Braslav regional association of museums” seeks to revive the historical and cultural heritage in the region. The association includes the museum of local lore, the museum of traditional culture with the exposition “Trades of the Braslav region” and the hotel “Zaezdny dvor” (coaching inn).
